Butterfly of LifeŽ supports Uterine Cancer with a padparadscha sapphire. Uterine sarcoma is a cancer of the muscle and supporting tissues of the uterus (womb). Several types of benign tumors, such as leiomyomas, adenofibromas, and adenomyomas, can also develop in the connective tissues of the uterus. These are also called benign uterine fibroid tumors. If they cause symptoms such as pressure or excessive bleeding, these tumors are usually treated by surgical removal of the uterus (hysterectomy). Visit the Amercian Cancer Society to learn more about Uterine Cancer. |
